Remarks & Notes |
As part of the "Norfolk & Western Reunion of Steam" event, a photo charter was planned using Strasburg Rail Road owned Norfolk & Western 475 and visiting locomotive Norfolk & Western 611. The 611 was pulling a freight train as it did in its final days of service. A bonus to the event was the regular train that had to pass the photo line on its several regular runs of the day. The 90 is a 1924 built Baldwin that originally served the Great Western Railway of Colorado. Just like the runbys with the Norfolk & Western engines, the "farmer's daughter" works the fields on the tractor, waving to the passing train.
