Remarks & Notes |
Two GEs wind through the Canadian shield and the big granite rock cuts south of Romford with 100's train (Vancouver-Toronto). Baby Lake to the East and the long string of stacks in the late afternoon sun provide some colour in the otherwise rugged landscape. Romford was once a bustling junction where CP's Chalk River sub along the Ottawa River Valley connected its Montreal freight, passenger and interchange traffic to the trans-con line until it was rerouted fully via Toronto in 2011 . |
