Storage as far as the eye can see. Located by the engine facility at Debutts Yard, several side tracks have been filled with locomotives in storage. Included here are SD70's, C40-9W's, one MP15, and a fair amount of yard slugs. Despite many of these locomotives being no more than 25 years old, many had tough lives in coal service or had technical difficulties that led to them being the first to be choose to be put into storage. Meanwhile, life continues as usual over at the busy Debutts engine facility. While PSR may contribute some to this storage, these tracks at Chattanooga have held stored locomotives off and on for years.
