Remarks & Notes |
CP had ten SW-8's, 72 SW1200RS's and 101 S-3's. The SW1200RS was actually a road switcher with its Flexicoil trucks, referred to by CPR as a Branch Line Unit. The 8133 was one of ten (8131-8140) assigned to CPR's Dominion Atlantic Railway in Nova Scotia. The SW1200RS's were all delivered with "suicide handrails", which were changed to frame mounted ones like on the Alco switchers in the late 1960's and early 1970's. |
