Remarks & Notes |
On Sunday JC siding would be where the 2 Rapid City to Huron trains would meet around 10 am. This end of the PRC Sub is all 10 mph and with only a couple sidings between Pierre and Rapid City, the train operations are fairly set once the ball starts rolling. Between Fort Pierre and Phillip the PRC Sub follows the Bad River closely. Between Midland and Phillip the railroad gets into a deeper river valley with the Bad River and crosses the river 6 times in 26 miles. One of the bigger bridges is this one about 5 miles west of Midland. Here the HURC slowly works west with 70 cars in the afternoon light.
