Dawn Breaks Over Big Boy. It's just after 6:00 a.m. on the morning of October 13, 2019, as the Union Pacific steam crew prepares UP 4014 for the return trip to West Colton today via Cajon Pass. Benefitting the Rail Giants Train Museum located in Pomona, California, today's trip will officially complete a promise made by the UP to Rail Giants that upon the restoration of the 4014, UP would return to the Golden State with the locomotive and pull an excursion in Southern California with all proceeds going to the museum.
