Two of Livonia, Avon, and Lakeville's gorgeous Alcos switch out hopper cars from the warehouse at Sweeteners Plus in Lakeville. The afternoon light glows on the nose of low hood C425. I made this trip to New York specifically to shoot Alcos. Unfortunately the was the only railroad I got to shoot in good light. I hope to return before this dying breed is extinct.
I have submitted a request to change the railroad name. I forgot to change it after submitting an A&A pic yesterday. This may take a few days.
New York state has the largest number of ALCO diesel locomotives working in everyday service. Here are some of them. Soon I hope to chronicle all of them.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
