| A WS-based local works the MC Yard adjacent to Ridgefield Park station. Power on this day was the short-lived NYSW 3042 which was surrounded by its own bluish exhaust on this cold winter day. This unit was built as high hood GP40 NW 1355. It was rebuilt by the Susquehanna with the cab from SD45 3612 a year or so before this photo was taken and was scrapped in 2014 after spending several years on the dead line in Utica, NY. |
