This is a prime example of why distracted driving and trains do not mix. We watched this whole event unfold. The crew was shoving at no more than 5 MPH, and the conductor had the crossing protected, but this motorist was not paying attention. He slammed on the brakes at the last second, but it was too late. I think it's safe to say that this guy has had better days. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries to the driver, and the conductor was able to get out of harm's way.
