| Mallet steam locomotive #403, built in 1903 by SLM Winterthur (Swiss Locomotive and Machine Works) for the French "Compagnie des chemins de fer départementaux" is seen on the turntable at Lamastre. Lamastre is the final station of the meter gauge tourist railroad "Chemin de fer du Vivarais", the original line ran a further 19 km (12 miles) to Le Cheylard before it closed in 1968. |
