There used to be commuter service out of Pittsburgh as far east as Derry, a few miles east of Latrobe. Hence the PRR-era station that is reminiscent of the Philadelphhia Main Line and still embellished with the classic keystone station sign. Latrobe, PA sits in a sag and, thus, trains in either direction were pouring on the power coming through here. The 6555 West is getting a run for Carney Hill with a lengthy manifest for Conway.
