CP diesels lead a southbound oil train past the rear unit of the dpu set on a northbound empty coal train. Both are 4,400hp GEs, but a lot of changes were made between delivery of 5838 in March 2004 and 8891 in January 2008. Rich Mountain gets all the attention, but McElhany grade in Neosho is another tough stretch on the KCS main. Admittedly, scenery is better south of Heavener.
