A Massachusetts Central intermodal train approaches the Main Street overpass at Palmer, Massachusetts, on May 20, 1993. Powering the short train is rare EMD NW5 No. 2100 and CF7 No. 2443. MCER No. 2100 is a former Southern Railway unit, its only NW5 constructed in 1947, and one of only 13 NW5s built.
