Highspeed tilting train ETR 470 # 004 of the Cisalpino is leaving the 1509 meter long Pianotondo helicoidal tunnel in the Biaschina on the Gotthard mountain line. The train is full tilted with 8 degree, running with 90 km/h through the 300 meter radius curve, instead of 80 km/h for other passenger trains or 75 km/h for freights. This is CIS 154 from Trieste via Milan to Zürich and Schaffhausen. Cisalpino had 9 of this ETR 470 trains, which were built by FIAT Ferroviaria (Alstom) in Savigliano. When the Cisalpino company was liquidated in december 2009, 4 of this trains came to the SBB, but were withdrawn and scrapped in 2014. One end car of a ETR 470 is preserved by SBB Historic and stabled in the shed of Erstfeld.
