Remarks & Notes
Filling the sweeping curve on the approach to the 3,700-foot summit of Cajon Pass, BNSF's Southern California Christmas Train heads east for Barstow on its first crossing of the famous pass in decent sunlight. Only a few days prior to this, the train made two round trips up and down the pass from San Bernardino under the cover of cloudy skies and even some fog.
