Remarks & Notes |
On christmas eve at 8.08 PM the S 12 service 19273 of the SBB from Brugg (AG) via Zürich-Winterthur to Schaffhausen, a doubledeck commuter train with locomotive Re 450, is crossing the 177 meter long bridge above the Rhine falls, between the bluish illuminated castle Laufen and Neuhausen. The bridge of the line Winterthur-Andelfingen-Schaffhausen was built in 1856. In the moment, about 382 m3 (or 100'000 gallons) water per second are falling down 23 meter and forming the 150 meter wide Rhine falls. The flow of water is slightly over the average in the moment. |
