Remarks & Notes
On December 21, 2010, BNSF Railway train S-LHACLO1-21A (Intermodal Stacks; Los Angeles Harbor Pier 400 CA to Clovis NM) holds the middle main in Fullerton, California, waiting for a meet with Amtrak Pacific Surfliner 775 (running about a half-hour late) ― the green indication on the westbound signal is for the passenger train. The crew on the freight used this break to dodge the raindrops and scurry to the cafĂ© in the station (just out of this shot on the right) for a warm coffee while they wait for their clear signal indication. This was the fifth of six consecutive days of nearly non-stop rain in southern California.
