The slow GoBrightline. Adjacent to Perimeter Road in Fort Lauderdale, FL on Sunday, December 8, 2019, Siemens SCB-40 103 pulls "Bright Blue" south on the FEC. But this train is not one of the high speed commuter trains that covers the West Palm Beach-Fort Lauderdale-Miami corridor at high speed, it is running the 1500 Polar Express trip out of Fort Lauderdale. The train will cover a few miles before reversing to return to the station when the performance is completed. Brightline offered a few of these excursions on weekends and in between rush hour out of the Fort Lauderdale and Miami stations.
Now running between Orlando and Miami, this privately held high-speed passenger railroad is expanding with plans to add service to Tampa and between Las Vegas and Southern California.
