Metrolink Winter-Wonderland! I took a day trip the day after Christmas with a friend who was visiting from out of town, trying to get to Tehachapi for some snow shots. All roads, state routes, even dirt roads, in and out of Tehachapi were shut down by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) due to a severe winter storm. We decided to head towards Cajon Pass and on the way back I saw the Metrolink line connecting Los Angeles to the Mojave desert. In all my years of being trackside, never would I have thought I would capture Metrolink in snow. I've never even put the words "snow" and "Metrolink" together. I found a spot near the base of the Vincent Grade, on a curve, where a family and their kids built a snowman. The rest is in the photo.
