The N&W Class A No. 1218 is pulling a circle trip out of Roanoke; here it passes a relic of the steam era- the old C&O coaling tower at Balcony Falls. After the runby, it will continue to head east down the James River Valley to Lynchburg, and then back to Roanoke over Blue Ridge.
