Long time resident "Big Joe" Johnson Railway Service SW1, sporting the Koch Food paint scheme is waiting in idle while the Remote Control Operator is on his lunch break. This SW1 started it's life on the Republic Steel Company out of Ohio switching the Steel Mills. Later on it was acquired by Johnson Railway Service out of Anderson, SC, and was on a long-term lease to Koch Foods Inc. at the feed mill in Chattanooga, TN until the company purchase the locomotive. I can say that "I'm Glad I Shot This" cause years after when this photo was taken Koch Foods Inc had traded the 1945 built EMD SW1 to the Chattahoochee Locomotive Co. in 2015 for CLCX 14135 an ex: UP SW10 dub the name "Big Joe II."
Not
