As the last few minutes of blue hour linger in the mountains of Alabama, Carolina Piedmont GP38 3890 leads three other G&W painted geeps around a picturesque curve south of Sycamore, Alabama on the Eastern Alabama Railway. The train is bound for the kaolin mines at Sylacauga, AL, where they will tie up for the weekend. The lead unit is a former Southern unit and still retains a few identifying features as such.
