Remarks & Notes
The Southwest Chief races along on the Marceline Sub with the next stop at LaPlata in about 30 miles. The train passes under one of the few old ex-Santa Fe signal bridges that were left along this route between Fort Madison and KC. The signal gang went thru in November and upgraded the signals and that took the old signals out of service, as seen here. I think the only active signal bridge left on the Marceline is the ones at Hart near MP 336. History keeps coming down as the PTC machine rolls on.
