Remarks & Notes |
The daily Waterloo to Kirk Yard manifest train rumbles across Buffalo Creek on one of the few cool larger wood bridges left on the CN in Iowa. The train left Waterloo less than an hour ago and is about 30 miles east of Waterloo now. The train is working between Waterloo and Dubuque, the next crew change point and work. The railroad was relocated thru here back many years ago. This bigger bridge was built to lessen the grade thru here when the railroad crosses this creek alot closer to water level. One can still see the old pilings and roadbed from the old mainline from the train. |
