Shortly after 7 PM the regional train 1852 from Filisur to Davos Platz, a push-pull train with cab car ABDt # 1711 and railcar Be 4/4 # 512, is crossing the Wiesen viaduct in the blueish light of the full moon. The Wiesen viaduct is 89 meter high (highest of the Rhaetian Railway and second highest railway viaduct of Switzerland), 210 meter long, with a main span of 55 meter and was built between 1906 and 1909. On the left is the wooded slope of the Muchetta mountain, in the background from left the snowy peaks of Corn da Tinizong (3173 meter), Cuolmet (2817 meter) and Piz Mitgel (3157 meter).
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
