Gone are the days of the CSX Decatur Subdivision, now owned by Watco and operated as the Decatur & Eastern Illinois Railroad. Four axle GPs were quite common on this line while traffic was still running Paris. A little while before the sell off of the line, CSX stored cars between Terre Haute and Paris and all traffic went via Hillsdale to Danville. Since Watco has bought it, traffic has once again shifted back to the Paris side with trains running Decatur-Paris-Terre Haute. In the photo, Q594 is dipping down into the Embarras River valley at Camargo with quite an array of EMD four axle power as we pace alongside it.
