Deadheading from Pines Spur (at milepost 249.6) to the Amtrak station in downtown San Diego is BNSF Officer Special O-OCDSDG1-06. For this southbound move, the train is led by ES44DC 7716 and ET44C4 3744, pulling the eight-car train in reverse, with ES44C4 4236 on the rear (and which will lead the train from San Diego to Los Angeles later this day, after loading passengers at the station) as it passes through Rose Canyon.
