Pan Am detour train 16R-26 is eastbound on the VRS Green Mountain Railroad Bellows Falls Subdivision with MEC B40-8 5967 leading GP40 352, B40-8 5966 and B40-8 5973 as it breaks the midnight silence of the village of Chester Depot, Vermont. The detour train is moving from Hoosick Jct., NY to Bellows Falls, VT on the VRS, while ultimately running from Binghamton, NY to East Deerfield, MA, during the Hoosac Tunnel outage. The blades on the train order boards were added in PS. Lighting was 6 Alien Bees B1600s at varying power from 1/8 to Full depending on placement.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
