| The hamlet of Davis Creek, California is the apex of a southbound grade on the Lake County Railroad, as trains climb away from Goose Lake. Less than three months after the line was acquired from Southern Pacific, a Great Western freight train crosses Westside Road at the site of the Nevada-California-Oregon narrow gauge's Davis Creek station. |
