A new set of power was formed for the Pan Am detour trains over Vermont Rail System on March 17, when four NS GP38-2s joined the mix with the Pan Am and VRS power to handle these moves. On March 18, ST detour train 16R has the MEC B40-8 5930 leads NS GP38-2 5609, 5667, 5666 and 5104 as the eastbound 99-car train rolls over the 'high bridge' at Ludlow.
