| SJVR 2121 works the Union Pacific Yard in Bakersfield in the golden afternoon light as the Tehachapi Mountain Range looms in the background. Out of picture to the right, Amtrak 14 holds short of Kern Junction as it waits for the an eastbound UP Z train to complete its crew change at the original Southern Pacific depot (now a crew base) before pulling up and preforming its own. |
