| The Noisy Neighbor: There's nothing like the mid-morning wakeup call of a loud train horn to get your day started. Hell, it likely sounds like it's in the living room! Such is the case for 2 homes along the NIT Spur in Columbia, SC. The ROW and tracks literally split 2 homes side yards and entertain the rumble of a CSX local a few times per week. This is the only area in Columbia where you can find such close proximity to housing. It makes for a very unique shot and shows a dwindling number of unique rail lines that traverse sections of town like this one. |
