Dwarfed in the grandeur of the Rocky Mountains, an eastbound BNSF trackage rights train snakes its way through Azure, Colorado. Recent winter storms have blanketed the Western Slope with a fresh layer of snow. These storms came at a cost as several rock and snow slides wreaked havoc across the Moffat Route. A slide in Byers Canyon delayed this BNSF train by several hours, allowing it to pass this incredible scenery in daylight. With only 3,800' of train and running 3x2, this train would make great time throughout the rest of its journey to Denver.
