Oakland's MacArthur Station on the Bay Area Rapid Transit's system is a major transfer point. A Richmond to Fremont train, waits at MacArthur for a Pittsburg to Millbrae train in order to transfer passengers. Richmond to Fremont trains are the only BART service that does not pass under the San Francisco Bay to serve "the City" itself, so passengers bound for San Francisco must transfer here.
