| The DF class were built by EMD in Canada and entered service in 1979 with most of the class rebuilt a second time in the last few years. The Northern Exlporer is crossing Hobson Bay, just a few minutes into the 420-mile journey to Wellington. The train was built by Hillside in Dunedin and entered service in 2012. |
