Remarks & Notes
Steaming into Wabuska. Here's Virginia & Truckee Locomotive #22 "Inyo" easing onto the platform at the Nevada State Railroad Museum's Wabuska Depot with perhaps the most authentic, Victorian-era passenger train left in the US. During most years, Inyo operates only on the 4th of July weekend, when temperatures are often approaching 100F. In those conditions, she doesn't smoke much and the steam evaporates quickly. During a special, February, 2020 photo shoot however, Lerro Productions patrons were treated to many views of Inyo, in beautiful winter light and gorgeous clouds of white steam. About the only thing missing was a little snow on the ground, but that gives us some good excuses to perhaps come back and do this again in the future. For those who have not seen Inyo, you can still attend the museum's 4th of July event, and having been there myself, I promise, you will not be disappointed. Check out some of the summertime photos in my NSRM album on Flickr and see what I mean.
