At 8:00 pm (20:00) on April 9, 2020, landmarks all over the United States were illuminated blue in a nationwide effort to honor the health-care workers and others on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic. In Anaheim, California, the city's Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (a combined rail and bus station) was displaying blue, as was the halo atop Angel Stadium’s "Big A" across the freeway (and visible in the lower left of this photo). We cannot thank our health care workers and janitors (disinfecting everything from hospitals to stores to transit vehicles) enough during this time. And, please, shelter in place as infected people don’t always have symptoms but can still be contagious. Also, wash your hands, wear a covering over your mouth and nose and stay at least 6 feet (2 meters) from others, as I did when photographing the ARTIC.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
