| With a solo Tier 4 EMD on the point, K811 rolls south through Marietta's version of "Horn Alley" as it heads for Florida. To the right is the Kennesaw House, where Andrew's Raiders spent the night before the Great Locomotive Chase & one of the few pre-Civil War buildings in Marietta to be spared by Sherman during the Atlanta Campaign. Today, it is now home to the Marietta Museum of History. |
