| The Lexington Ditch. This daily freight heads south on the Southern's R Line to Augusta, GA through Lexington's version of the "Ditch," which is the term given to the rail corridor running through Columbia, SC. Lexington's "Ditch" involves a cut through for the rail line through some sandy hills found to the west of the town. |
