| New England Southern is seen headed North with 8 loads, an unusually long train for them. Six of the cars are spine cars loaded with ties destined to be interchanged with Plymouth & Lincoln for a tie replacement project. In a classic New England Scene on the old Boston & Maine, the train crosses a dirt road in rural Northfield. The EMD SW1500 was originally built for the Southern Pacific in January 1970.
