Remarks & Notes |
D45 rolls northbound through the heart of the City of Cohoes passing the city's original rail station and yard limits from back in the D&H days. (Behind me was a depot that still stands.) Also the Cohoes Public Library which was the former St. John’s Episcopal Church standing tall behind the station.
Two grade crossings were barricaded and later ripped up by the railroad and the city, Newark St. & Pine St. where this photo was taken (Pine), while the rest were updated to have continuous automated crossing bells when the "No Horn" rule was passed by Cohoes, similar too what was done in the City of Watervliet years prior. |
