Spring Cleaning on the Pee Dee River Railway: One half of the Pee Dee River Railway power sits outside their engine house after just receiving a bath the previous day. Some may recognize this "new" paint scheme as that of their sister railroad and owner, the Aberdeen & Rockfish. At one time, all 4 engines were going to receive the A&R style paint, but it was later decided to leave 2 engines in the traditional orange & white scheme while the other 2 would wear the new colors. As a side note, it's amazing how fresh these old school motors look with new paint and a bath. You would hardly ever know their age based on this photo!
