| The DF class were built by EMD Canada and entered service in 1979 with most now working on South Island lines. A number remain in North Island for working Metlink trains such as this one in the last 10-15 minutes of the journey into the capital. There are several sections on lines out of Wellington that run along either harbor or coastline. |
