An unknown Re 4/4 II of the first series is pulling the Interregio 2272 from Locarno to Zürich over the 120 meter long Säcken viaduct on the Gotthard north ramp between Gurtnellen and Amsteg-Silenen. This impressive stone arch viaduct was built for the Gotthard line in 1882 , with 6 bows only and single track. When the line was doubletracked in 1893 already, the viaduct was broadened and prolonged to 10 bows, but is the only viaduct of the Gotthard line which has the appearance from when the line was built. All other bridges were combined stone/steel and have been rebuilt in concrete or lost the original appearance otherwise. Behind the locomotive is a baggage car, which came from the french SNCF, followed by a first class standard car type IV in the new paint scheme. Next car is a first class panorama car Apm in the original paint scheme, then a second class standard car type IV in the original green/light grey paint scheme.
