Remarks & Notes |
On a dreary rainy day. That's really fitting for the occasion. 135 thunders through a rock cut that if one didn't know could be mistaken for on the loops out of Old Fort. But it's really just west of Salisbury. It's getting it's west bound journey started like it's done for year's. But this will be the last time 135 rolls over this part of the S Line between Salisbury and Asheville. With Linwood yard closing trains 135 and 123 will cease to run the over those loops in the NC mountains. And as P61 said to the 135's crew have a safe trip bringing the train over the mountain. An end of an era of railroading is here. |
