| MBTA trolley line car 3283, seen here at the Reservoir carhouse, was built in 1949 for the Boston Elevated Railway and lasted in MBTA service until 2007. It was built with a wooden body to help insulate the workers maintaining live wires from the platform on top of the car. It now resides at the Seashore Trolley Museum in Maine. |
