On a late spring evening, UP 5526 charges through the small Arkansas farming community of Hickory Ridge, Arkansas with a southbound grain train. Here it is dwarfed by one of Riceland's several large co-ops located along the line - this one stores soybean and rice. Riceland is also a major UP customer primarily in Stuttgart, AR and Jonesboro, AR (where they own the world's largest rice mill). Arkansas is the United State's largest rice supplier - growing roughly 46% of all US rice on 1.3 million acres of land. Riceland alone processes roughly 25% of all U.S. rice.
