| Shortly after dawn, Amtrak's City of New Orleans passes downtown Memphis. In a minute or so the train will arrive at Memphis Central Station. 59 was running about a half hour late which allowed just enough time for the sun to brighten up this scene. The track and catenary in the foreground is used by the Memphis Area Transit Authority's Riverfront Loop trolley line. This line was out of service at the time of this photo. |
