Remarks & Notes |
A BNSF freight thunders down the Red Rock Subdivision through the small town of Perry as it continues south to Oklahoma City.
In the 1890s, Perry was known as "Hell's Half Acre" due to the fact there was over 110 saloons and gambling halls located within the tiny town's perimeter.
In 1995, Perry was the town where Timothy McVeigh was apprehended by an Oklahoma Highway Patrolman after he bombed the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. |
