A herd of zebras was spotted out on the prairies of Manitoba in June 1986 as CN inadvertently lined up a nice sampling of GMD power at Symington Yard on Winnipeg's east side. The prize was F7A 9168 which had come into town earlier that day from the West on the point of VIA's Super Continental. Hostlers were making a move with it and attached VIA Fs including no. 6311, an FP9A. Meantime, a GP40-2W, SD40 and SD40-2W lined up to the left showing off CN's response to Action Red.
